Now how's this for some good news? Eyeries has just won the Best Kept Town 2012 competition - both the Overall award and Best Kept Village. This is a fairly prestigious award. In fact, some say that it's more impressive than the Tidy Towns competition because the Best Kept Towns competition is Island of Ireland wide (including both Northern Ireland and the Republic).

Sharon Shannon Opens Eyeries Festival 2012

Sharon Shannon, one of Ireland's most talented musicians, will open the Eyeries Family Festival on 20 July 2012. Last year Sharon played to a packed house in the Eyeries Hall.
